My Journey

In April 2023, my life took a drastic turn when I was hit by a car, resulting in a separated shoulder and a torn left pectoral muscle. The orthopedic surgeon's words, "You will never do a push-up again," hit me harder than the accident itself. Determined to defy this prognosis, I made a pivotal decision that day: to take my nutrition and fitness seriously. I embarked on a relentless journey of transformation, dedicating myself to understanding the intricacies of proper diet and effective exercise and most importantly understanding how our body works. Through sheer determination and perseverance, I have achieved remarkable results. Today, May 29, 2024, I proudly maintain 9% body fat and weigh an average of 207 pounds down from a high of 265 pounds. This webpage is a testament to my journey, created with the hope of inspiring and positively impacting your life as well. If I can overcome such obstacles and transform my life, so can you.

After My 8 Month Health Reset Journey

When I “thought” I was healthy

8 Months is the time frame between these two pictures. Looking back it’s honestly hard to believe. To me it seems to easy, but i’m here to tell you, it’s not. A “fuck it” mindset is needed. Setting daily, weekly and monthly goals is a must. Making hard changes goes beyond working out and eating healthy. It starts with understanding your body, your limits and pushing them day in and day out. I bunch of “little victories” add up to a huge victory. Incorporating a variety of exercises such as weight training, running, walking, and mental health exercises like yoga and hiking can significantly enhance your overall health. Weight training helps build and maintain muscle strength, improve bone density, and boost metabolism. Running and walking are excellent cardiovascular activities that improve heart health, endurance, and aid in weight management. Mental health exercises like yoga and hiking provide stress relief, enhance flexibility, and promote mental clarity. To reap the full benefits, it's important to engage in some form of exercise 5-6 days a week. This balanced approach to fitness not only improves physical health but also supports mental well-being, leading to a happier, healthier life.

Recovery

Recovery is an essential aspect of any fitness journey, where the body heals, builds muscle, and burns fat. Quality sleep is fundamental, allowing the body to repair tissues, synthesize muscle proteins, and release growth hormones essential for recovery and overall health. Beyond sleep, biohacking techniques like cold therapy, hot therapy, PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy, and red light therapy offer advanced ways to enhance recovery. Cold therapy reduces inflammation and soothes sore muscles, while hot therapy relieves muscle tension and promotes blood flow. PEMF therapy enhances healing by improving cellular function, and red light therapy boosts tissue repair and reduces pain. By integrating these methods, we can optimize recovery, accelerate muscle growth, and effectively burn fat, paving the way for improved performance and well-being.
